What Does It All Mean?
One of the most frequent questions I am asked is "I just got my statement and I don't understand!" So I'm here to decipher some of the more confusing aspects of billing statements. I have marked in red 8 items that I will explain. Remember, our bills are sent out approximately 15 days in advance to give you ample time to prepare for them. Each time an adjustment is made to your account, whether it be a credit or a charge, you will receive an email statement. This means you will be emailed a receipt when your payment is applied.
(1) This is your name, your business name if any and your address.
(2) This is your registration number, aka your account number. It helps us out a lot if you have this handy when you call with a question!
(3) When we run statements every day, it defaults to the first of whichever month we are in. This is not the first date of your service.
(4) This is the date that the statement is printed out. Again, does not reflect your dates of service.
(5) These are the services you are paying for. They will include what the service is, your username (may not be the email you are used to using) and the dates of service.
(6) This is an example of something that was manually done to an account, not a regularly billed item.
(7) This is either the amount being charged or credited to the account. A credit will have a CR listed to the right of it.
(8) This is either your total amount due or the credit on your account. Because of possible past charges or credits, this will not always be the amount listed in (7). Again, if there is a CR to the right of the amount, you have a credit and do not owe at this time.
